The USC WorkWell Center (formerly Center for Work and Family Life) empowers USC Faculty and Staff to thrive in mind, body, and spirit, so that our people are engaged, productive, and happy. WorkWell provides programs and resources for USC-benefitted employees that help them thrive in all areas of work-life wellness. We do this through cost-free and confidential counseling, coaching, consultations, critical incident/stress management, and health and wellness promotion and education programs.
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the Health & Well-being Program marketing functions and activities.
The Health & Well-being Program is a newly created area in the WorkWell Center with the aim to develop a comprehensive, collaborative, and long-term strategy that emphasizes the value and importance of employee and organizational health and well-being. The Health & Well-being Program strategy aims to:
Increase awareness, motivation, skill building, and behavior change
Build the framework for creating a culture of health and well-being
Institutionalize health and well-being into the fabric of USCâs daily operations, policies, and practices
Positively impact health, productivity, engagement, and quality of life.
The candidate for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for:
Coordinates design, production and distribution of publications and other promotional materials, such as press releases, advertisements, catalogs, brochures, flyers, signage, A/V presentations, displays, exhibits, etc.
Writes and/or edits copy for Workwell website, marketing projects such as publications, advertisements, press releases, announcements, etc., as assigned.
Coordinates activities, outreach and engagement strategies to promote awareness of department services and/or products within the University community and/or to the general public, such presentations, guides, flyers, tip sheets, and program materials.Â Analyzes, monitors, and evaluates marketing efforts for effectiveness, as assigned.
Develop and maintain various social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Coordinates use of surveys and other market research instruments to collect appropriate information, as assigned.
Administers department marketing calendar, as assigned. Monitors schedules, production and distribution arrangements and other details to ensure timely completion and quality control of marketing activities and publications.
Coordinates appropriate use of University and/or department logos, emblems and indicia.
Establishes and maintains contacts with internal and external marketing professionals and vendors such as artists, designers, photographers, mailing houses, postal service, list brokers, advertising representatives, media contacts, etc.
Researches and prepares budget proposals for marketing purposes, as assigned.
Administers marketing budget(s), as assigned.
Compiles and analyzes information and prepares reports and/or other documentation for management review.
The candidate for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
2 yearsâ experience in marketing, publications, public relations, business administration, communication, advertising, or related field experience.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator has the following qualifications:
4 yearsâ experience in marketing, publications, public relations, business administration, communication, advertising, or related field experience.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing.
Ability to create engaging, professionally designed PowerPoint presentations, materials, guides, etc.
Experience with managing various social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Experience with various communication and design platforms (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
Strong written and communication skills.
Ability to review and curate credible content from a diverse set of recently popular content, including trends, news, and cultural conversations.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 2 yearsMinimum Field of Expertise: Marketing, publications, public relations, business administration, communication, advertising or related field experience.
