Annie Wright is seeking a Marketing Designer to begin as soon as possible. This is a full time staff position that reports directly to the Assistant Head of Schools.
Annie Wright’s strong community cultivates individual learners to become well-educated, creative and responsible citizens for a global society.
Position description
The Marketing Designer is a critical partner in telling the story of Annie Wright Schools. The Marketing Designer uses their talent for design and storytelling to create visuals that engage community members in the Schools’ daily life, that inspire new ways of thinking and memories of years gone by, and that inform internal and external constituents about the ways in which Annie Wright cultivates a love of learning, critical thinking, global engagement and personal growth.
The Marketing Designer is a collaborative yet independent creator, and a visual artist who deeply supports and cares about telling the story of Annie Wright Schools, its Mission and Key Characteristics, including our Mission in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and our Mission on Health & Wellness. The Marketing Designer takes these concepts and ideas and makes them come to life, in print and in electronic media. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for creative expression: a branded presentation for Upper School families to describe the educational pathways, a wall display to best demonstrate travel opportunities for students, a brochure that highlights the opportunities of dorm living, a program that celebrates the achievements of young Lower School students, an invitation for alumni to reconnect over shared memories, or a web piece that highlights the critically important work of building a culture of belonging. The Marketing Designer is able to obtain input verbally or in writing from different stakeholders and, with their expert knowledge of current design software, develop designs that meet organizational needs and brand expectations while delivering the ‘wow’ factor.
As a key member of the Communications team, the Marketing Designer works closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the Assistant Head of Schools to ensure consistency and effective program management. The Marketing Designer is also willing to examine existing processes, identifies flaws in the systems, and proposes and implements solutions to improve design capabilities.
