The Office of Strategic Communications & Marketing delivers and supports strategic and innovative communications and marketing technology across all of OEM to advance student recruitment, service, and success. The department collaborates with campus partners to actively influence strategy, practice, and innovation.
Job Summary
The Digital Communications Developer is a Part-Time position in the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing that supports online recruitment and communication initiatives for the Office of Enrollment Management (OEM), including the Offices of Admissions, First Year Experience Programs, Registrar, Scholarships, Student Financial Assistance, and Student Central.
Department Specific Responsibilities
Works within various Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce, to build, implement, and send marketing, transactional, and event related emails for units within OEM.
Assists with web updates, paid digital, and other related digital communications strategies in support of OEM marketing initiatives.

EDUCATION
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
Some college
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
Experience using HTML and CSS to build emails and/or webpages.
Preferred
Experience with IU.
SKILLS
Required
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Should have familiarity with project management systems, show initiative, and be self-accountable for assignments and tasks.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to exercise a commitment to promoting Indiana University to prospective and current students.
Ability to be flexible and work within a rapidly changing environment.
Strong desire to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Passionate about supporting web, email, and social media best practices and strategies that increase awareness of IU, encourage engagement, and generate measurable, specific calls to action.
Experience in photo and design software tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience in prepping images and graphics for web use, including cropping, resizing, compression, and converting color profiles. Higher education and IU experience is preferred.
