Dabney S. Lancaster Community College (DSLCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia; the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion) and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. On-site and distance learning options incorporate up-to-date technologies.Provide administrative support to the College Local Board; Support communication between the President and Local Board; Responsible for day-to-day coordination of executive support and information across all programs and operational areas reporting to the President. Attend board meetings and other meetings requested by the President. Prepare presentations and metrics for strategic initiatives, as necessary. Establishes and maintains the office filing system in such a manner that files are easily retrievable and safeguards are maintained to protect confidential information. Process purchase orders and payments of invoices. Coordinate activities related to the marketing and communication firm; Work with the College's Public Information Officer for consistent messaging; Provide communication support for the President (drafting letters, etc.); Work with appropriate areas for website updates; Assist in developing newsletters, announcement, etc.
