Work with assigned clients, partners and colleagues from across Cincinnati Children's to develop content for www.cincinnatichildren.org that supports the institution's goals and follows digital strategy best practices and governance principles. Continually monitor and measure website performance to enhance content, user experience and conversion. After an initial on-site training period of up to three months, remote work is an option.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Manage the digital strategy consultation, resulting content and UX plans and execution for multiple assigned clients spanning the entire medical center.
Exercise sound judgment, critical thinking and communication skills to balance client's goals, digital best practices and established governance principles.
Show flexibility and adaptability in client interactions, changing approach or method of communication to best match client's interest, availability, goals and technical knowledge.
Effectively translate technical or complex concepts into layman's language that matches your client's knowledge or engagement level.
Proactive Content Enhancements
Identify performance and content goals for assigned clients.
Monitor and measure performance to goals and proactively identify enhancements to achieve these goals.
Partner with clients and colleagues to improve website content and presentation.
Be a leader in team discussions about best practices and share new information gathered through independent research.
Exercise critical thinking to come up with the best ways to promote Cincinnati Children's on your sections of the website.
Be familiar with all aspects of the website so that you can make connections from your work to other areas of the website or medical center.
Ongoing Content Management
Perform as the editor for assigned client websites and ensure on an ongoing basis that the content is current, optimized and achieving the intended goals.
Employ best practices in crafting digital content and website design/layout.
Effectively work simultaneously on multiple client projects with different timelines, deliverables and deadlines.
Audience Channel Strategist
Act as the digital strategist for a secondary audience channel.
Possess a deep understanding of the audience, their needs, motivations, and preferences to effectively direct the strategy of content development and enhancements.
Possess the ability to act decisively, format policy and implement it effectively with your team to improve content performance and achieve consistency.
Be a resource for department colleagues by sharing your knowledge about the audience channel and working to better integrate content across channels.
Create and foster a relationship between yourself and the other stakeholders with the audience aimed at developing shared goals and tests of change.
Search Engine Optimization and UX Principles
In support of assigned clients and audience channel, use analytics and user experience (UX) principles to understand trends and make strategic improvements to content and design.
Monitor and measure results and adjust content in coordination with colleagues and clients.
Make data-driven decisions to help users find and navigate the website.
Continually monitor the website for usability issues and share opportunities for improvement with the team.
Qualifications
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, English or related field.
2+ years' experience
Preferred
Sitecore (or similar) CMS experience
Project management experience
Experience with the healthcare industry
Skills Web Writing:
Demonstrated ability to write and/or edit for a variety of audiences utilizing web writing best practices and a mobile first approach.
Sophisticated knowledge of SEO practices and page optimization.
Demonstrated knowledge of web analytics.
Knowledge of user experience principles and client service/management. Basic HTML and CSS knowledge.
Project Management:
Ability to develop, implement and manage projects; knowledge of the principles and concepts of project management including proficiency with relevant project management tools.
Communication:
Excellent verbal, written and/or interpersonal communication skills.
