Working as part of the MOC Alliance and Hariri Institute administrative teams, the Marketing Communications Specialist is a shared position that will support the MOC Alliance and the overall Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science & Engineering. This position will play a key role in further elevating both organizations national visibility. The Specialist will ensure that the MOC Alliance and Hariri Institutes digital presence reflects its core mission and values. They will work to maximize its digital footprint through email and newsletter curation, event and program marketing, and website optimization. This work involves interacting and partnering with a number of open source Communities, industry and academia partners. This position will report to the Hariri Institutes Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications, with additional direction from the MOC Alliance Managing Director.

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience. Additional experience can substitute for educational qualifications. Excellent project management skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects, and complete tasks on time within a fast-paced environment. Creative thinker with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Tech-savvy with knowledge of web publishing (WordPress), email (MailChimp), and graphic design platforms (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). HTML and/or CSS experience preferred.
