We are excited to be recruiting an Associate Director to join the Marketing & Communications team for one of the nations leading cancer centers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling, cultivating an environment where being yourself matters, and empowering every colleague to grow and thrive. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications (M&C), this role is a member of the enterprise communication team and will support on various initiatives including Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion.
Responsibilities:
Partnering with the Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Mobility and working with M&C colleagues, help develop and implement integrated communication strategies that amplify MSKs commitment to inclusion and belonging.
Write and/or edit internal communications for Chief Diversity Officer and other senior leaders that amplify ED&I initiatives and help spark thoughtful, courageous conversations around ED&I across the organization.
Partner with ED&I and Special Events colleagues to conceptualize and execute internal events (e.g. meetings, town halls and forums) that engage employees and bring ED&I initiatives to life.
Ensure the integration of MSKs ED&I values in all M&C touchpoints; ensure the brands external touchpoints (e.g., website, social, editorial content, advertising creative) reflect how we embrace inclusion and belonging.
Use creative storytelling to celebrate the unique perspectives, backgrounds and experiences of MSKs employees, fellows and students.
Help track, measure and report on key performance metrics.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and benchmarks, and educate M&C colleagues on ED&I concepts and best practices.
Help support enterprise-wide communications, as needed.
You have:
7+ years of strategic communications experience that includes internal, external, HR/employer brand, crisis and issues management, and integrated marketing; EDI initiative support would be preferred
Experience in complex and multi-faceted organizations with diverse stakeholders.
Outstanding writing, editing, and presentation skills
Genuine enthusiasm for the health care industry, cancer care, research and education, and MSKs mission.
