Serve as product/market expert related to product positioning, competitive information, product performance, pricing, branding and distribution
Evolve the promotional model, using multi-channel approaches to increase sales and division margin over time. Utilize online and offline channels and new approaches to connect with our target audiences. Test and learn on new channels as appropriate in the cluster and the affiliates
Ensure achievement of key business metrics as defined in the marketing plan
Ensure proper implementation of promotional strategy by the field and appropriate utilization of promotional material.
Assist the General Manager in setting short and long-term strategies
Portfolio Management and Optimization.
Ensure strong presence for Abbott at critical or major local/International congresses
Manage effectively several portfolios of projects / products in multiple countries by creating synergized marketing strategies and tactics between the countries to expand the market for Abbott's product portfolio.
Prepare annual marketing plan and present to upper management
Adapt the strategy and positioning of products to local market specificities and pioneer to respond to new trends and orientations
Prepare annual sales forecasts and monthly update of actual
Track and Monitor strategic, business and field metrics on a monthly basis and report to management.
Prepare and participate in update reviews. Assist in long-range plan development
Allocate the annual promotional budget to support the marketing strategy
Closely monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure that resources are spent in line with plan commitment.
Ensure robust plan is in place for new product launches and ensure successful execution
Market intelligence & Business Development
Review the local market place, ex. Government policy, demographics, economy etc and assesses and extrapolate likely trends.
Evaluate the current competition and the potential opportunities/threats to our line of products
Develop and maintain rapport with Key opinion leaders in the marketplace to identify trends, competitor activities and new business opportunities.
Monitor the competitive situation.
Stay abreast of worldwide business developments, understands trends, their implications and opportunities (eg customer, technical, healthcare, regulatory etc.) and accordingly Seizes new business through using worldwide marketplace, technology and business knowledge

Develop business cases to demonstrate commercial viability of products.
