JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position will guide digital content development across campus by being available for advice and content development assistance to faculty, staff, and students across campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates, coordinates, evaluates, edits, maintains, and publishes content on the UTHSC website and social media accounts.
Works with Digital Content Manager to make decisions on website design, strategy, elements, functionality.
Frequently monitors and reviews analytics to reveal trends of how content is being received by the audience, which pages are most visited, and other metrics to allow data-driven decisions to be made that impact the university's website.
Trains uthsc.edu website users on the OU Campus content management system.
Collaborates and plans website updates with partners in Information Technology Services.
Manages photography and videography needs for the University and its units, including coordination of freelancers and the Communications and Marketing staff taking photos/video; this is a high visibility function for the university.
Schedules, photographs, and edits headshots for employees and students.
Takes photos on campus as needed - typically for social media/website use
Manages the digital asset manager
Works with Communications Coordinators to plan social media and website content to promote the mission of the University.
Meets with various clients within the university to establish their website, social media, and photo/video needs.
