The Assistant Director for Business Development, Centers for Professional Development and Food Marketing (CPD/CFM) will be responsible for the business development support, marketing, and logistics of CPD/CFM programs. In concert with upholding the overall mission and vision of the CPD/CFM, the Assistant Director will assist in the creation of a thoughtful and strategic suite of executive education programs and professional development learning opportunities that will generate revenue for the University.
Assist the Director with the development and execution of non-credit custom professional development programs to align with the University’s mission and division/departmental goals.
Assist the Director in creating a marketing and business development strategy for executive education at SJU.
Assist the Director in the management of grant programs awarded to the CPD/CFM.
Design proposals for prospective clients and create marketing material for programs as content for social media. This position will be required to get a social media certification.
Manage CPD/CFM website, collect data analytics to determine social media strategy.
Manage CRM (SLATE) as primary means of managing participants, prospects, and organizations, tracking both history and relationships.
Develop and implement strategies that result in CPD/CFM marketing results in conjunction with SJU Marketing and Communications
Assist the Director in business development through networking, planning and research.
Assist the Director in budget management, program pricing models, and department projections.
Coordinate, manage logistics and oversee all events and programs. This entails working closely with campus partners and vendors and managing those relationships.
Manage all client invoicing and payments as well as faculty contracts and payroll authorizations.
Manage student workers, work study and graduate assistant schedules and staffing events.
Manage creation and distribution of course evaluations
Understand and ensure compliance with University policies and procedures
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing development, planning, and strategy.
Demonstrated success in project management, including working with multiple projects at one time.
Demonstrated experience using technology in day-to-day work and the ability to develop recruiting strategy based on analyzed data.
Ability to relate with sensitivity and professionalism to diverse groups of people.
Exceptional skills in multitasking, client communications and logistical planning
Proficient in MS Office, Excel
Basic knowledge of accounting and budget management
