Midway University seeks a web and digital marketing specialist to manage the University’s website, social media channels, and other digital elements for external audiences to support admissions recruitment and the University’s strategic goals. The web and digital marketing specialist will support enrollment goals through the creation and optimization of webpages, social media channels, email marketing, and monitoring of key performance indicators to meet marketing initiatives. The web marketing specialist reports directly to the vice president of Marketing and Communications and will collaborate as an essential member of the Office of Marketing and Communications. Additionally, this position will actively work with other divisions and departments to create the best digital experience for external audiences.
This position will partner with other team members to implement an integrated digital marketing strategy, including web content and landing page design, web analytics and optimization, social media strategies and recommendations for opportunities to increase conversions through the three primary calls-to-action: Request Info, Visit, and Apply. This position will have an opportunity to play a lead role, at the direction of the vice president of Marketing and Communications and in collaboration with the University’s Web Developer, in the full website redesign currently underway.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in marketing or related field, with an emphasis on digital marketing. However, consideration will be given to those with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
5 plus years with experience working in collaborative teams and work environments, such as web design/content development, social media, or digital marketing and communications is highly desirable. Experience in higher education preferred
Experience working on web redesigns.
Experience and proficiency with web design, content management systems and working knowledge of HTML/CSS are expected, along with a solid understanding of SEO concepts, A/B and multivariate experiments
Analytics expertise is required with demonstrated ability in website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.) with demonstrated ability in implementing web analytics and analyzing website metrics and tracking data for decision-making
Demonstrated success in managing vendors, people, and projects required
