Work with the Associate Dean and key stakeholders to prioritize goals, encourage collaboration, identify distinctive strengths and opportunities, and establish marketing and communication goals.
Create unique segmented messages/campaigns at the Graduate School level as well as the individual graduate program level, to effectively market graduate education to support recruitment, enrollment, and retention goals. This includes managing content across Graduate Admissions social channels, Graduate School and Graduate Admissions websites and CRM systems, and print collateral
Develop a schedule to communicate various messaging, determine appropriate modes of delivery (email, print, landing page and web, digital advertising and re-targeting, social, texts, etc), develop/design content, distribute creative material, and evaluate each effort. Manage each stage of the process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and provide regular progress reports to supervisor and stakeholders
Work in partnership with University Communications departments and/or outside vendors to execute video, digital, social media, graphic design, content, and other communications; compose and edit feature stories and marketing collateral copy to ensure accuracy in content and form; draft communications for final release; create or repurpose compelling student and faculty stories to utilize across platforms
As necessary, engage with and supervise the work of external creative agencies/firms, and supervise additional marketing staff within the Graduate School.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in a closely related field and at least three years of experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed in the area of assignment.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or closely related field;
4+ years marketing experience in higher education;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a CRM system (ex: Salesforce, Slate), Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google products (ex: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Ads, Search Console), and a content management system (ex: WordPress, Drupal);
Experience in website design and UX, email marketing, and writing content;
Demonstrated ability to creatively develop, execute, and monitor multiple marketing and communication campaigns, meet deadlines, work within budgets, and adjust projects as needed based on shifting priorities and resources; and
Demonstrated ability to work independently yet collaboratively, communicate effectively with supervisor, colleagues, and key stakeholders, and keep leadership apprised of emerging best practices.
