Stanford Online High School is also the new home of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies (SPCS), which provides a diverse array of academic enrichment programs (known as a group as outreach programs) that take place mostly in the summer but also throughout the academic year. Held primarily online, SPCS programs serve intellectually curious pre-college students from around the world.
One of two Marketing and Outreach Specialists reporting to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, this Marketing and Outreach Specialist develops, coordinates, and implements marketing initiatives and communication efforts to meet objectives particularly for the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies outreach programs. Assistance with marketing and communication efforts for Stanford Online High School will be a secondary function of this role.
**Please note that the Stanford Online High School and Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies offices are located at the Stanford Redwood City Campus, however currently, all staff are required to temporarily work from home, due to the county health & safety restrictions.**
Your responsibilities include:
Develop and execute marketing plans for all of the following programs: Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes, Stanford Summer Humanities Institute, Stanford University Mathematics Camp, Stanford Medical Youth Science Program, Math Circle, University-Level Online Math and Physics. Manage marketing plans to meet business objectives, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
Manage vendors/consultants. Solicit quotes and demonstrations when searching for new vendors.
Recommend and execute marketing strategies to increase applicants from target populations, and to generally reach diverse, intellectually curious, pre-college students.
Analyze campaign/program/service/event effectiveness used to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, and customer targeting.
Assess market opportunities and track market trends. Recommend marketing improvements based on findings.
Draft communication for prospective students and current students.
Implement integrated marketing communications and brand strategy, across a variety of communication methods, including website, email, social media, and advertisements.
Formulate communication guidelines for the organization and ensure that all marketing and communications materials are compliant with University guidelines and regulations.
Write and manage multiple drip email campaigns in Slate.
Oversee design and production of marketing materials from inception to deployment.
Plan and execute events to support marketing objectives.
Organize photography and videography for program promotion.
Design advertisements and brochures.
Manage project/program budget(s), and coordinate invoice processing.
Manage and update multiple websites.
Maintain social media presence for the outreach programs.
Manage relationships with partner organizations. Work with organizations to reach prospective students that match outreach program target populations.
Proofread materials for a variety of purposes.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous experience in product, program and/or services marketing.
Significant facility with photo editing, and the Adobe Creative suite of programs, particularly InDesign
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understands how to implement integrated marketing programs across channels, including digital and print.
Experience with market research and data analysis.
Demonstrated problem solver.
Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
Experience with graphic design
Facility with photography/videography
Experience marketing to parents and students in the K-12 age range
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
Rarely sort/file paperwork.
Occasional work on evenings and weekends.
