Reporting to the Advancement Director, and serving as an integral member of the advancement and enrollments teams of Hill Top Preparatory School, the Strategic Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for working with the departments of advancement and enrollments to develop and execute a strategic marketing and communications plan for the School that supports Hill Top Prep’s organizational strategic plan and vision. Responsible for coordinating and executing Hill Top Prep’s marketing and communications initiatives, the coordinator supports and collaborates with advancement and enrollments directors in the protection, promotion, and enhancement of the Hill Top brand.
The Coordinator will develop and integrate a broad range of public relations, marketing, and communications activities related to the strategic direction and positioning of the School. As an ambassador for the school, this position will interact significantly with all constituents including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, neurodiversity professionals, corporate partners and other stakeholders in the Hill Top community.
With a goal of generating broader and more comprehensive awareness of the qualities and character of the school community, the position will work to achieve set goals in enrollment and advancement, and ensure sustainable growth. The coordinator will develop all integrated communications, and marketing products, as well as internal and external media, to include newsletters and other print and digital publications, web-site content, social media management, and other digital communications.
Serves as the marketing and communications lead, articulating the school’s vision and image across all media to ensure a consistent, positive brand and message of excellence.
Plans, designs, and executes production of all print and Web-based publications and communications for the school, to include though not limited to social media, online presence, admissions and camp materials and other brochures, articles for local press, photos and videos of events, and content for main lobby video screens.
Supports development and fundraising activities, Director of Enrollment, and the offices of the Headmaster, as well as school-wide administration and programming.
Works with Directors of Advancement and Enrollments to develop a practical and strategic marketing/communications plan that identifies strengths, weaknesses and opportunities; and to more clearly articulate and advance the Hill Top brand identity, broaden awareness of its unique programs, and support departmental growth objectives.
Anticipates and identifies new opportunities, challenges and emerging issues to be imminently faced by the school, and makes recommendations for action.
Use Hill Top’s 50th Anniversary to promote the School.
Manages Social Media and Marketing Interns.
Makes recommendations to leadership relative to staffing and periodic interdepartmental collaboration in pursuit of shared goals.

Work with advancement and enrollments directors to develop and execute plans to build awareness of Hill Top’s unique mission to include digital and print media, events on and off campus, press releases, enrollments materials, campus signage, etc.
Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and website content.
Writing and posting content (visual and written) for various online and print platforms
Ensure consistency in campus signage, print materials, digital presentations to maintain brand imaging.
Coordinating, planning and promoting events that promote Hill Top to targeted constituencies including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, neurodiversity professionals, corporate partners and other stakeholders in the Hill Top community.
Manage print, radio, digital advertising with external media.
Work with faculty and staff to promote Hill Top and important school activities and endeavors.
Curate photos/videos as needed for print, digital marketing/social media purposes.
Assist with stewardship of partners including, but not limited to, corporations, organizations, neurodiversity professionals.
Serve as a member of the Marketing Committee of the Board of Trustees working with members to develop reports for the Board meetings.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
Three or more years of experience in marketing/communications roles, preferably in education.
Experience with strategic coordination of a brand using diverse media to generate targeted results.
Experience using social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn) to promote brand messaging, as well as measuring impact.
Experience in managing budgets.
Detail and Deadline Oriented.

Strong writing, proofreading and organizational skills.
Strategic and critical thinking skills
Interest in learning new concepts.

Basic Photography and Video Skills preferred.
