The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will champion a progressive approach to creating the experiences that Spring Arbor University aspires to provide for audiences in a modern, digital world. The role will be rooted in an audience-centric, data-driven approach. The CMO will work with the Marketing staff as well as all constituencies to bring the brand to life across channels and mediums to create compelling, optimized, omni-channel audience experiences. The CMO will develop and implement marketing and communications strategies consistent with the University's mission statement and strategic plan to drive growth in reputation and revenue.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned by proper personnel.
Work with partners and leadership to understand business strategies and develop plans and roadmaps for the team, including support opportunities and identification of new opportunities regarding technology, data, insights, and analytics that aid in the optimization of audience strategies and targeting
Collaborate throughout the organization to promote audience-centric thinking and knowledge sharing
Develop audience strategies, profiles and insights across targeting platforms, as well as demonstrate their value to partners and university leaders
Expand, develop, and maintain media relationships to create a positive external and internal image associated with Spring Arbor University
Lead a strategic team, including organizing work and progress, setting priorities and expectations, and coaching
Create, manage and monitor departmental budgets to meet strategic priorities.
Assure the promotion of an evangelical, Christ-centered philosophy in all aspects of institutional function.

Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field. Skilled in resource planning with an eye on outcomes. Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency. Experienced in coaching and development of staff. Demonstrated ability within a data-driven approach to audience insight and engagement.
