The Office of Development is seeking a Writer-Editor to join their dynamic, productive Marketing Communications team .

As the Writer-Editor, You Will:
Craft marketing messages for multiple audiences, including event participants, donors, and potential donors, that motivates them to donate or raise money, or register for MSK fundraising events, including Cycle for Survival, Freds Team, and Kids Walk for MSK Kids.
Research, write, and edit communications (mostly digital) that inform audiences about MSKs institutional priorities and signature events in an inspirational and authentic manner.
Help develop voice personas for MSK leadership and write messages from these people as appropriate.
Translate scientific information that differentiates MSK as a world leader in cancer care and research into compelling marketing language accessible to any audience.
Work closely with gift officers, recruitment and fundraising managers, and creative teams to develop communications strategy and help maintain content calendar.
Assist with some administrative tasks, including coordinating approvals, updating calendars, and maintaining content database.
Collaborate with colleagues to reach the highest possible standards of work.
A skilled writer who can pivot optimally between different projects, voices, and channels without losing track of accuracy.
Informed about best practices in marketing communications.
Curious about the latest cancer research and treatment and interested in learning about fundraising.
Willing to give and receive constructive feedback on content, strategy, and processes.
Collaborative in the true sense of the wordinterested in learning from colleagues and working together to ensure the best outcome possible.
A Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in marketing communications and e-mail copywriting.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, we will consider candidates with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience tailoring content for different platforms and audiences.
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
The ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling lay language.
