Reporting to the Regional Commercial Strategy & Planning Director, the key function of this role is to lead the channel team in the creation and implementation of commercial (sales and marketing) plans to optimize success across all Salon Division Brand Sales Channels within the Americas Region (Direct Sales, Distributor Sales, E-Commerce B2C, E-Commerce B2B and Prestige Retail).
This person is accountable for leading and coordinating the creation, delivery and implementation of the assets and programs to support all relevant channels across the countries in the region (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand). Collaborating with the local country teams, this person will identify market opportunities to deliver new business and base business growth, and deliver tools that enable this growth to be optimized. This role will rely on close collaboration with the Regional Marketing and Education teams to ensure harmonized multi-functional "toolboxes" are delivered to local markets.
Lead the creation of commercial sections of initiatives for all Salon Sales Channels.
To include pricing and trade term guidelines, distribution targets, sales story and sales tools. Close partnership with Regional Marketing and Education teams to ensure the delivery of a harmonized toolbox across functions.
Guide the collaboration with the Global Design Team to give commercial input within the Design process. Represent the Local markets on respective Global teams, provide insights and lead country forecasts to enable decision making at identified stage gates.
Coordinate and lead the creation and deployment of annual budget guidance into countries. To include initiative one-pager documents, distribution guidance and base business concepts. Partner with countries to enable robust bottom-up forecasting behind qualified building blocks.
Lead the Regional Channel team in the development of business cases to support initiative development.
Develop and grow the skill set of the Regional Channel team.
Along with the Director, support the creation, deployment and measuring of Direct & Indirect channel plans within the initiative toolboxes to support global strategy of winning across all salon channels. Collaborate with other Regional team members to ensure a differentiated offering across all channels whilst ensuring one holistic go-to-market message.
Lead the creation of base building activity within the Direct and Indirect Sales Channel to grow portfolio distribution (within new and existing doors) and Invoiced Sales per door behind improved consumption.
Coordinate the analysis of local results across brands to identify areas of concern and success. Ownership of the Regional share and reapply process across markets to ensure use of best practices throughout the world.
Regular market visits as needed to ensure closeness to the individual needs of each country. Time to be spent with the local Strategy & Marketing teams and with the customer on sales co-rides.
Managerial Responsibilities -
Leadership and management of the Commercial Strategy & Planning Channel Team, including recommendation of refinements in team structure, identification of key deliverables and recruitment of roles.
8+ years' experience in the Professional Beauty environment preferred
Previous Marketing and Sales experience is required
Experience of working in a direct field sales role preferred
Luxury, Professional Health and Beauty Experience an advantage
Experience working within a regional team or with different countries an advantage
