The Impact You'll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Global Contract Lab Marketing Manager acts as the marketing manager for development and execution of the contract lab marketing strategy. This individual will lead the development and execution of marketing programs to optimize 3M value for these customers and increase 3M penetration.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Analyzes and prioritizes contract labs, delivers analytics to improve sales targeting of customers by regional sales representatives, tracks progress with prioritized accounts
Develops and executes contract lab marketing programs designed to expand 3M value to customers and accelerate sales growth
Defines and executes optimal pricing, program structure and incentives for contract labs to align with industry segment needs and business model
Partners with global NPI marketing team on automation strategy, business model, value drivers and go-to-market model to increase adoption of hardware and consumables with contract labs
Develops insights on contract lab decision making processes, methods, organizational structures and buying behaviors to guide contract lab sales and marketing activities
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Three (3) combined years of experience in sales, marketing, technical service, and/or other similar business functional areas
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience in product, segment or channel marketing
Broad experience in developing marketing plans
Skill in training, teaching and coaching to sales representatives
Experience in a matrix environment
Experience working in a global business
Experience managing and developing pricing and incentive programs
Strong communications and organizational skills
Travel: May include 15-20% domestic/international travel
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
