The Associate Director, Marketing Optimization / Material Approval Process (MAP) is responsible for implementing upstream strategic marketing optimization capabilities that support MAP capacity increase and speed to market. Key priorities include defining approach, executing, and nurturing key growth brand(s) in their core claims management, volume forecasting, and influencing resource mix, with the long-term goal of learn, iterate, and scale to entire US Pharma business.
The successful candidate will have foundational knowledge of commercial creative development and the ability to convert that knowledge into operational capabilities that enable predicted, accurate materials to be efficiently reviewed through the material approval process while reducing effort of all stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Core Claims Management * Align with AORs and brand teams to support the adoption, creation, and nurturing of core claims documents, used as a basis for OmniChannel marketing initiatives * Define MAP process & best practices with a try, learn, fix, repeat approach; Inform both systemic configuration and ways of working * Train early adopting cross-functional teams
Business Demand Planning * Leverage and improve current operational modeling tools that directionally predict resources required to support MAP volume demands * Partner with content creators to collect annual plans, convert to MAP volume forecast, and update quarterly * Align with MAP/Medical/Legal/Regulatory teams to ensure resource availability * Escalate predicted gaps in support/bottlenecks * Inform future state system capabilities to support automation/self-service
Change Management * Communicate best practices via guidance documentation and playbooks * Collaborate with training lead to inform marketing & advertising agency onboarding program to sustain capabilities & fuse change * Develop presentations, prepare training aids, leave-behind quick reference guides * Create Work Practice Document (WPD) and related system instructions
Success Metrics * Define and measure success - Adoption, utilization, impact on MAP performance (quality, effort, speed) with support of Analytics SME Communication/Collaboration * Ability to simplify complex concepts into themes that are easy to understand and recall * Engage stakeholders and SMEs proactively, acting in service to commercial success * Solicit feedback from internal and external stakeholder to continuously improve * Exemplify Novartis Values & Behaviors
Project Management * Lead special projects or cross-functional work streams as necessary * Act as subject matter expert as needed to represent MAP Team
