The Role Responsibilities
Implement a full range of communications strategies, including corporate, business and crisis mandates with a view to enhancing the SCBHK's reputation and brand. Develop and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially media.
Good understanding of the Bank businesses, products and capabilities and the business issues and dynamics affecting the firm and the banking industry.
Support the CEO and senior executives of SCBHK in various media engagements in terms of speaking points, media FAQs and media handling; Support the Bank's external profile building by lining up interviews, drafting press release and media statements. Work closely with the other functions to align messages amongst different internal and external stakeholders of the Bank including staff, investors, media, community, regulators. Work closely with the Bank's Group Corporate Affairs team to ensure alignment of local communications objectives with those of the Group. Support the Group's communication initiatives in Hong Kong. Provide support on issues management and crisis situations. Mitigate reputational risk by monitoring/managing social and mainstream media by adopting an anticipatory approach and right judgement call.
Our Ideal Candidate
Professional background in Public Relations or Communications with minimum 10 years experience gained within media/PR agency and corporate communications of multinational company.
Good communication and presentation skills, including good written and spoken English and Cantonese.
Maturity and credibility to liaise with and influence individuals at the senior levels, including senior management of the Bank.
