General Statement of Job The Director of Admissions Communications and Marketing oversees and manages all communications with prospective and new students through the entire admission funnel via multiple communication platforms; primarily through the TargetX Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software. Serves as the lead Campaign Manager for TargetX. Also, creates and updates admissions web pages, manages all admissions social media platforms. Primary liaison between admission and University Relations and Marketing (URM) and maintains a master communication plan including publications, events, social media, email, text, etc. Oversees the creation and development of layout and design concepts of various print and electronic materials and admissions website pages, direct mail pieces, newsletters, emails, drip campaigns for all student recruitment materials. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties: Leader of and primary decision maker for professional and creative judgment to create communications to represent University image and messages for programs, recruitment and event initiatives, and admissions processing. In collaboration with URM, uses professional discretion to recommend appropriate content and visual aids to use on website, in publications, recruitment and event materials, departmental brochures and other printed material. Independently uses professional judgment to develop, oversee and maintain a master communication plan including publications, events, social media, email drip campaigns, text, etc. Use specialized knowledge in the field of communications to prepare and implement all communication campaigns related to admissions, recruitment, and events. Be very comfortable multitasking on a number of different projects with various student populations simultaneously. Be able to meet tight deadlines while being respectful and having a positive attitude with colleagues and students. Provide comprehensive support to the Admissions team to assist in the efficient operation and timely delivery of department and organization priorities. Leads and is responsible for developing the campaign workflows and the scheduling of campaigns in Target X with the ultimate goal of increasing communication effectiveness for recruits. Manages and primary decision maker for the Admissions project management system and budget for communication and marketing materials. Provide monthly data analytics on current campaigns and make professional recommendations as needed. Executive decision maker for developing communication strategies and related marketing initiatives based on student personas. Write copy for initiatives, including admissions, recruitment and events. Create a plan for sending out all communications for a full academic year. Builds and repairs web forms within Target X. Attends Publication meetings and corresponds with Admissions staff and other departments regarding recruitment and publications. Spearheads initiatives for ensuring Admissions complies with university data standards protocols. Supervises and trains student workers as needed. Provides indirect supervision for the Admissions Data team. Performs other duties as required. Education, Experience, and Licenses Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in communications, business, or a related field is required. Two to four years of work-related experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
