Wells Fargo's Agency Relationship Manager helps create, manage and oversee an effective marketing communications agency ecosystem. Our purpose is to meet our marketers' needs by directing the right work to the right talent at the best value for Wells Fargo. Our objective is to manage and optimize an agency resource structure for maximum creativity, speed, cost-effectiveness and clarity in decision making. This role partners with strategic sourcing to translate marketing plans into scopes of work and negotiate contracts to provide the best value for Wells Fargo; partners with our third party risk teams to ensure our engagements meet all risk regulations; and works closely with leads at our current roster of agencies to ensure that they are successfully meeting all performance and policy requirements including adherence to risk and operational policies, brand standards, internal processes and specs. Responsibilities: - Facilitate access to agency talent and match resources to needs:
- Builds and manages an effective agency ecosystem
- Understands marketing needs to be able to identify/fill agency gaps
- Understand roster capabilities and scope of assignments
- Creates and executes a 360+ performance feedback program
- Evaluates new roster models and builds business cases to analyze solutions
- Builds relationships across the agency roster and keeps them informed of relevant Wells Fargo business changes
- Ensure operational excellence leading with managing risk:
- Is a subject matter expert on Wells Fargo Third Party policies and procedures to ensure our agency relationships meet expected requirements. This includes policies covering brand standards, third party vendor onboarding requirements, secure site hosting, information security and technology, and other applicable systems
- Has the role of Relationship and Engagement Manager in the Wells Fargo Third Party Risk Information Management System (TRIMS)
- Delivers actionable reporting to facilitate business decisions across internal and external agencies, including benchmarking analysis, agency scope analysis, capacity planning, utilization, and trends/insights that will lead to efficiencies, staffing recommendations and negotiation points
- Standardizes and implements internal agency reporting and ROI tools to identify and capture cost savings while maintaining performance standards
- Drive value by directing assignments to right agencies and supporting negotiations:
- Work with marketers, leadership, risk, supply chain and agencies to build and manage retained agency contracts
- Supports supply chain management on pricing and benchmark initiatives
- Support marketers on their project SOW contract requests as needed
- Act as point of contact for finance and accounts payable
- Identify opportunities to bring work in house or other more efficient options
Preferred locations listed on job posting. Other locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered. Telecommute option may be available. Salary range is determined by location of the job.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of marketing experience
Other Desired Qualifications
- Degree in a related field, i.e. Advertising, Business, Finance
- 8+ years of marketing experience
- External agency experience, either in account or operations. Must be exposed to the business side of running an agency
- Need to be a self-starter, with a passion for identifying opportunities and taking an active role in a changing environment
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Experience in creating effective presentations– understands how to package information to increase understanding
- Strong communicator with an ability to collaborate with marketing and agency leaders
- Knowledge in scoping, compensation options and agency model options
- Adaptability and partnership is key, especially working in a small department to influence a large enterprise
