The Brand and Marketing function plays an essential role in inspiring people to plan for a better future and make M&G plc the brand they choose to make it happen. Responsible for the delivery of compliant marketing communications internationally and in the UK, the Global Lead Marketing Compliance Manager will be critical in implementing our Global Marketing Compliance Framework. This role will act as deputy to the Global Head of Marketing Communications Compliance and includes people management. To be successful in this role, you will be confident in providing expert technical and tactical advice in a digital environment to stakeholders across the function and beyond; driving solutions and directing resource appropriately. You will instil regulatory capability and confidence in others to embed a strong risk culture. Key Responsibilities for this role - You will support delivery of the Brand & Marketing Global Marketing Communications Compliance Framework and ongoing improvement, taking personal accountability for this.
- You will drive compliant, customer-centric marketing communications in each operating market, drawing on expert regulatory technical and leadership capabilities, including 3rd party relationship management.
- You will demonstrate deep and broad financial promotions regulatory expertise across multiple jurisdictions, exercising cultural awareness and sound judgement at all times.
- You will role model collaborative business partnering, lifting the capability of others, driving efficiency and improving ways of working, while reinforcing a strong risk culture.
- Drive quick and effective issue resolution across multiple senior stakeholders; use creativity and digital agility to deliver solutions at pace.
- You will enhance quality assurance and oversight of first line marketing controls, taking a digital first approach to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, developing and tracking actions.
- You will maintain an external presence, bringing industry insights and learning to the fore within the function.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Experienced in delivering quality customer-centric marketing communications regulatory advice and approvals within financial services, preferably asset management.
- Must be investment literate with solid technical understanding of investment content.
- Digitally adept, you will have expertise in digital delivery including social media.
- Substantial managerial experience with excellent people management skills, inspires others to perform at their best and develop for the future.
- Expert knowledge of the international and UK marketing regulatory environment. International experience is essential for this role.
- Strong delivery capabilities, able to deploy resource effectively and drive consistent improvements to ways of working, standards, processes and controls. Preferably with relevant experience gained in 1st line and 2nd line of defence roles.
- Significant experience of 3rd party supplier management in a global regulated environment.
- Adaptable to working outside of an office based location. This role will likely involve an element of travel when safe and appropriate.
- Resilient and highly collaborative style with a positive attitude to deliver through self and others within an evolving, commercial environment.
- Excellent verbal, written and influencing skills - in person and remotely, with sound decision making skills.
Qualifications - University degree (or equivalent preferred). Relevant industry qualification in a related compliance or legal discipline desirable.
- Language fluency whether native speaker or qualifications desirable (Italian or French).
