Minnesota State University Intercollegiate Athletics program has one Marketing & Promotions Graduate Assistantship position available beginning on or around August 9, 2021. Minnesota State is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and belongs to the 16 school Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in all sports (NCAA Division II), in addition the men's and women's ice hockey participate in NCAA Division I and compete in the CCHA (Men) and WCHA (Women). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: execute, revise, and modify the athletics marketing campaign for specific sports; promote and implement a positive fan experience; create, plan and facilitate game ticket promotion plans to increase attendance at the athletic home events from students, faculty/staff, and external constituents; manage and execute in-game promotions; activate corporate partnership agreements; oversee the scheduling of national anthem singers and color guards for all Minnesota State home athletic contests; assist with public address and promotion scripts; manage community outreach programs and scheduling external events calendar; supervise Maverick Street Team (interns) during daily office hours and on game day; assist with graphic design; coordinate and implement social media programs; assist with special event fundraisers; and other duties as assigned. As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) , Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), the Athletics Department and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Failure to do so may result in suspension without pay or termination of employment. Minimum Qualifications ?Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sport Management, Recreation Management or Communications with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better ?Admission into a Minnesota State University, Mankato Graduate School program ?Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) as well as graphic design capabilities and understanding and a ?Excellent written and verbal communication skills General Information ?This position requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays ?Must be enrolled for a minimum of six graduate credits per semester. ?This position is for two (2) 10 month appointments, with a start date of Mid-August 2021 – Mid-May 2022 and Mid-August 2022 – Mid-May, 2023. ? Compensation Graduate Assistantship is a two-year appointment and the position includes a tuition waiver and a $10,000 salary stipend.
