Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, the Associate is responsible for implementing marketing and communications strategies in line with the School’s Strategic Plan and guidelines of the Financial Sustainability Board Committee. The primary objectives of the Marketing and Strategic Partnerships Associate are to elevate the visibility of the School’s auxiliary revenue services to generate funding streams un-related to tuition, to forge and maintain partnerships between Derryfield and outside organizations and businesses, and to support the overall marketing of the School through writing, digital strategies, and graphic design. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, writing, and technical skills; and must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various constituents throughout the School and the community. This is a salaried, 40 hours per week minimum, year-round position with an excellent benefits package. This position starts on July 1, 2021. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Cultivates and maintains authentic relationships with individuals, corporations, and community organizations to foster new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships.
- Markets Derryfield’s facilities available for rental usage through targeted campaigns to appeal to arts organizations (Auditorium), athletic clubs (Athletics & Wellness Center and fields/courts), corporations (conference rooms and classrooms), and individuals for party rentals (gymnasium/rock climbing wall).
- Writes/composes letters and Google surveys aimed at increasing rental partners and nurturing the relationships through consistent communication and assessing satisfaction periodically.
- Works with Auxiliary staff/Buildings & Grounds and vendors to plan, schedule, cross-promote and communicate information regarding events.
- Research competition and trends related to Summer Camps/Programs, and propose additions to expand and/or revamp our summer camp offerings.
- Works in tandem with the Director of Digital Communications to create, enhance, and update Auxiliary Services microsite/landing page.
- Visits partner facilities to investigate how we may expand our partnerships beyond rentals (i.e. Seacoast United)
- Attends networking events and actively engages with attendees (including Chamber After Hours and Bedford Living Connects meetings.)
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive social media strategy for Auxiliary Services.
- Writes news releases, website articles, and digital media copy.
- Works with the Director of Digital Communications to maintain and update overall website content.
- Creates campus signage as needed to support Buildings & Grounds, Philanthropy & Engagement, and other departments.
- Embraces and develops other revenue enhancement and external relations responsibilities as needed.
