Position DescriptionThe Foster School of Business (https://foster.uw.edu) is ranked among the top business schools in the country and serves a diverse, multicultural population of faculty, staff and approximately 3,000 students. The Dept. of Marketing and International Business (MIB) in the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business offers courses focused on Marketing, International Business and Business Communications in Foster's Undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, Specialty Masters and Ph.D. programs. MIB invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure eligible position as Assistant Teaching Professor in Business Communications with an anticipated start date in September 2021. Teaching faculty have an annual service period of nine months (9/16-6/15) and are eligible for renewal. Salary is competitive.
University of Washington teaching faculty engage in teaching and service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate level courses in Business Communications to a diverse and multicultural student body. They will be expected to actively participate in service to the department, school and university, and to promote a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students. QualificationsA master degree or foreign equivalent is required. The degree should be in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Business Communication, Marketing or Communication (or related field). Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, a history of effectively teaching Business Communications to both undergraduate and MBA students. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, experience in video production.
