Augustana University (SD) is seeking a graduate assistant in athletic marketing and fan experience. The graduate assistant position is combined with a two-year graduate program in Sports Administration and Leadership, with a 12-month GA contract that could begin January 1, 2021. Candidate must be accepted and enrolled in the graduate program at Augustana University (SD), prior to the 2021 spring semester. Compensation includes full tuition benefits and a monthly stipend. Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Coordinate fan experience at designated sports (i.e. music, scripts, videoboard, national anthem, halftime acts/on-court promotions, band, and spirit squad). •Create content for e-mail marketing, flyers, videoboard & social media platforms. •Direct all campus marketing efforts. •Oversee Viking Kids Club and mascot Ole. •Lead and grow student marketing intern program. •Assist with fan engagement content creation, fulfillment of sponsorships, special events and other tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in marketing, business administration, sports management or related field. •Must possess excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal and communication skills. •Have an ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. •Quick decision making and problem-solving skills. •Evening and weekend work are regular occurrences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •Experience in marketing and fan experience of college or professional athletics. •Demonstrated experience using brand social media platforms. •Graphic design experience.
