The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, an independent Catholic school for girls located in Villanova, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full time, 12-month Director of Marketing and Communications beginning in Fall 2020.
Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Institutional Advancement, the Director of Marketing and Communications will develop and implement a dynamic and integrated program of marketing and communication initiatives supporting the Academy of Notre Dame’s strategic goals. The Director will be responsible for planning and executing programs and marketing strategies that enhance the visibility and public perception of the Academy and provide analytical data to measure and report on the success of these initiatives. Collaborating with the Academy’s administration, faculty and staff, the Director of Marketing and Communications will manage and advance Notre Dame’s image, brand, reputation and relationships among targeted audiences.
Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment and Institutional Management and the Academy’s administration, faculty and staff to establish and implement ongoing strategic and innovative marketing plans designed to achieve institutional goals and support the Academy’s Mission.
Develop relationships with the Academy of Notre Dame’s many constituencies, including Board members, parents, students, alumnae and faculty through ongoing communications.
Responsible for all aspects of the Academy’s written publications and collateral materials that enhance and sustain the brand of the Academy; additionally, responsible for ensuring all publications and materials remain cutting-edge and highly innovative in the marketplace.
Responsible for all aspects of the Academy’s website content and digital communications ensuring that the Academy’s digital footprint remains cutting-edge and innovative in the marketplace.
Manage and oversee activities of the Academy’s Digital Content Manager to ensure consistency in messaging, and integrate brand identity throughout the Academy.
Support the Head of School and the Academy’s leadership team in building relationships with both internal and external constituents.
Develop and implement activities that effectively market the Academy of Notre Dame to prospective families and assist with targeted advertising and direct-mail campaigns supporting the admissions and recruitment effort.
Support the efforts of the Advancement Office assisting with direct mail appeals, campaign materials, communications and events.
Review and oversee all uses of the Notre Dame branding.
Oversee all promotional advertising, radio and television marketing while providing support for Academy events including Commencement, Open House, Awards, Fine Art Show, Reunion, etc.

A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications or public relations. Experience within the non-profit and/or education sector would be preferable.
Demonstrated successful experience overseeing the development, creation and implementation of an innovative and comprehensive marketing plan as well as the design and production of print materials and publications combined with robust editing skills, experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
Fluent in current technologies and up-to-date on best practices in all marketing and communication realms.
Superior communication skills to express, orally and in writing, Notre Dame’s mission, vision, and goals with clarity, passion, and persuasion.
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work well with both internal and external constituencies, effectively representing the Academy of Notre Dame.
Well versed in strategic planning, with skills that include creative thinking, extensive research and analysis, critical reflection, goal oriented, and practical execution.
Ability to establish work priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and plan strategically and creatively.
Flexible, positive and adaptable; comfortable working in a rigorous, fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple departments; an expert problem-solver.
