The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing and is charged with assisting in the planning and implementation of activities involving enrollment management and marketing. The Assistant Director will support all aspects of the marketing, recruitment and interviewing process leading to the selection, enrollment and retention of the student body. She/He will represent the school and its mission to prospective families and the community.
Responsibilities include the following:
Oversee the program of admission of new students to the school in conjunction with the Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing.
Cooperate in the management of the school database.
Participate in programs that enhance the visibility and public perception of the school.
Prepare for and manage the annual Fall, Winter, and Spring Admission Open Houses, including recruitment and training of student and parent tour guides, ordering, involvement of staff, set up and clean up.
Help coordinate and encourage the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year.
Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing and the Director of Children’s House to create the class lists by 1) tracking re-enrolled students, 2) obtain student folders containing pertinent information, and 3) assess the needs of new students and place them into appropriate classes.
Cooperate with other members of the staff in furtherance of the school’s mission.
Attend school events and take photographs for publication.
Maintain ASM’s Facebook page and other social media as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management and Marketing and the Head of School.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to professional ethics.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Montessori education; model the Montessori values of grace, courtesy, and respect in visible daily actions.
Demonstrate commitment to competent communications and conflict resolution efforts across the school community.
Maintain positive relations with students, parents, trustees, staff and the larger community for the purpose of achieving the goals of the school.
Ensure that key, strategic messages are developed and communicated effectively in a time-sensitive manner to target audiences.
Access existing or initiate new market research activities and keep abreast of changing demographics and other relevant issues in order to evaluate marketing and communication activities and to monitor emerging issues, including the internet.
Experience in the field of Admission is preferred.
Skilled in using standard business applications and online resources and communications software.
Must be a strong communicator, have excellent written, presentation, oral communication and interpersonal skills. Able to motivate and influence others. Individual must be able to think creatively and strategically, have excellent judgment in a changing environment dedicated to the education of children. Skill in photography and videography a strong plus.
