Reporting to the Director of Communications and Outreach, the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing will lead the development and implementation of School-wide student recruitment activities for Masterâ™s and PhD programs and marketing initiatives for the School of Public Health. The position will also gain consensus from and liaise with graduate program faculty, school-wide faculty and administrators to align marketing activities and resources. Other priorities include establishing working partnerships with campus and off-campus community members to meet enrollment marketing and recruitment goals, and strategic objectives. Create and implement programming for recruitment and marketing priorities. Integrate diversity and inclusion strategies to create recruitment pipeline and diversify applicant and admission pools. Travels to represent School in recruitment and admissions activities, fairs and networking opportunities.
Required: Â Bachelorâ™s degree with focus in business or communications, plus 5 -7 yearsâ™ experience in marketing and student recruitment or admissions or equivalent combination of education/experience. Â
Experience in higher education
Experience with marketing, brand building, student recruitment and admissions
Experience with CRM software products used specifically for graduate student admissions (i.e. SalesForce, Slate, HubSpot, etc.)
Experience in academic programming preferred
Extensive, related analytical and administrative experience in an executive-level office
Excellent interpersonal skills for effectively dealing with a broad range of individuals at various levels within an organization.
Demonstrated computer proficiency and continued interest in enhancing skills in: all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.); scheduling software (Google preferred); Adobe Professional and other database systems used in client relationship marketing (CRM) (SalesForce, Slate, Hubspot, etc.), as well as social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying needs, conducting research and developing innovative proposals, solutions and programs.
Strong project-management skills to facilitate timely and professional deliverables.
Excellent written communication and editing skills for preparing correspondence, documents, reports, utilizing correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Ability to react quickly and shift priorities when needed.
Expertise with abilities to set priorities, organize and coordinate on office operation, anticipate needs, work under the pressure of deadlines and exercise good judgment, particularly with sensitive or confidential matters
Strong self-motivation skills for independently establishing effective working relationships with various organizations and students, alumni, faculty and staff at all levels of the organization and demonstrated ability to work as a member and leader of a team.
Ability to create a professional, mature and dignified environment suitable for the School.
Must be willing to travel overnight.
The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing will maintain a highly effective and professional representation of the School of Public Health and its stakeholders. The position requires diplomacy, tact, sound judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills, as well as speed and accuracy in the production of reports, proposals and presentations. High-level anticipation of needs to provide advice and strategies for implementing activities in line with School objectives. The position maintains confidentiality with sensitive information. Promotes and advances diversity and inclusion efforts in enrollment and School activities.
