Harris-Stowe State University seeks to fill adjunct faculty positions in Business Administration programs with emphasis in Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing in the Anheuser-Busch School of Business. The adjunct faculty teaching positions will cover a broad range of core and specialized courses in business administration programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach up to two classes per semester (fall, spring, summer).
Design and develop curriculum and instruction and class management strategies for all courses, including syllabi and lesson plans and more.
Assess the students’ learning outcome for all courses thought bases on the school and its programs’ set goals and objectives.
Review periodically and assure curriculum and instruction of courses are relevant and up to date.
Review and become proficient with the HSSU Learning Management Systems.
Utilize innovative teaching and technology approach in teaching.
Develop faculty goals and objectives and annual report for every academic year.
Make sure students’ attendance and grades are turned in on-time.
Adhere to the university faculty handbook.
Participate along with full-time faculty in:
Professional and scholarly activities including:
Publish article and books
Submission of grant proposal
Attendance at local, regional and national professional conferences
Maintain membership and leadership involvement in Community, Professional and National Government Organizations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A MBA or closely related discipline
A minimum of three years of teaching experience
Five years of professional experience in the field of teaching
The ideal candidate should be familiar with both on-line and on-campus teaching methods.
A terminal/doctorate degree in Business Administration or closely related discipline is preferred.
Experience in developing and designing innovative curriculum and delivery is desired.
A track record of excellence in teaching to a diverse undergraduate student body is greatly appreciated
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

-In the last four years, Harris-Stowe's graduation rates have increased by 35.6% percent.
-Freshman classes are at capacity and students now come from 50 states and 17 countries
-Enrollment has grown significantly to an all-time high of 1724 - 34% increase and the highest percentage increase of both
public and private four-year higher education institutions in Missouri.
-The UNCF performed an independent, extensive study of HBCUs and their impact on state and local economies. All
factors combined, HSSU's impact on the St. Louis metropolitan area is more than $65 million per year.
