The Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant is responsible for day-to-day activities in the marketing department, to include the following:
* Assist in creating and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports * Communicate with coaching staffs to develop and implement marketing and promotional plans; create strategies for fan engagement and attendance; and act as game producer for assigned sports * Assist in training interns in necessary duties within the marketing department – including gameday execution, creating timing sheets, script writing on-campus promotion, and event setup * Assist with creation and implementation of digital, email, and social strategy for assigned sports * Assist with post-season events as it relates to assigned sports Act as marketing liaison to assigned special marketing initiatives Assist with community relations initiatives including the Junior Razorbacks program * Assist with additional sports as needed * Other Duties as assigned by the marketing team
Earned Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Marketing, Sports Administration, Communications, or a related field
Enrollment and/or acceptance in a University of Arkansas graduate program for Fall term 2019
At least one year of relevant athletic experience (volunteer/hourly will be considered)
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including both verbal and written
Ability to work nights and weekends
Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
