Summary: Pacific Ridge School seeks candidates for the position of Content Marketing Associate. In support of Pacific Ridge’s mission, the Content Marketing Associate will strategically collect, create and distribute communications content across the School’s various social and email platforms, print publications and School website in the form of copy, photos and videos. Top candidates will be skilled at planning, creating, distributing and measuring content that informs and engages different cohorts of the Pacific Ridge Community including parents, faculty/administration, students, prospective families and surrounding neighborhood media and businesses. The ability to communicate effectively across different multi-media channels in proper written form is a must. The Content Marketing Associate is an actively engaged member of the Pacific Ridge community so s/he may develop a deep understanding of the School’s mission, philosophy and programs in order to express them to School constituents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead the calendaring, acquiring, layout and writing of content for weekly electronic newsletters (e-news)
Lead and articulate the School's social media strategy
Lead the calendaring, acquiring and writing of content for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, Twitter and LinkedIn)
Track and analyze e-news and social media metrics to inform content strategy
Maintain distribution lists for e-news and other email communications
Capture and edit photographs/video to record and share school activities with the community
Write, edit and proof additional content such as academic communications, press releases and blog posts as needed
Respond to inquiries from parents, faculty and staff
Contribute strategy efforts, best practices, and campaign brainstorms as needed
Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, English, or similar degree required
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, communications or similar field
Extensive writing experience required. Work in journalism a plus.
Self-starter and self-initiator of projects and task assignments
Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
Demonstrated skill in using, managing and monitoring social media platforms to effectively deliver marketing content
Demonstrated skill in using video editing software such as iMovie and/or Adobe Premier
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously in an unscheduled environment, with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage time on multiple tasks and remain organized
Ability to communicate proactively and effectively with faculty, staff, parents and students to acquire information about school activities, projects, competitions and other newsworthy endeavors
Experience working with schools, non-profit a plus and/or local media organizations a plus
Basic skill using the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred
