Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development Health New England Springfield, Massachusetts
Health New England is seeking an energetic, strategic and experienced sales and marketing executive to oversee and revitalize its sales, marketing, business, and product development functions. This is an outstanding opportunity for a results-oriented, enthusiastic sales and marketing executive to lead the organizational efforts to grow the business and profitability.
The Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development has overall responsibility for directing all commercial sales, marketing, business and product development for Health New England. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President serves as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team to set HNE’s strategic plan and has responsibility for a departmental staff of approximately 30.
This seasoned executive will lead key initiatives around continuing to grow the commercial segment of the business, find ways to expand and grow Medicare products, as well as plan new marketing strategies around digital media and creative new products to enhance the business.
The Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development will play a key leadership role in working with their broker community to enhance the current portfolio of business as well as look for new, creative ways to transition sales and move the organization toward opportunities for direct consumerism of their plans.
The selected leader will possess the following:
A Master’s degree preferred in business, marketing or a related discipline.
A minimum of eight to ten years of experience in marketing or business within the managed care, healthcare, or insurance industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous health plan experience is ideal.
Experience with digital marketing preferred.
Experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
Experience working through a broker distribution channel a necessity.
Ideally has previous experience with extensive change management initiatives and has led and implemented a large project within an organization.
Ideally licensed as a producer or on track or willing to obtain a license.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly through times of change and growth, and the ability to lead that change within the organization.
