Summer at Sem is hiring a seasonal social media and marketing intern for the 2019 summer season. This intern is responsible for generating content for Summer at Sem's various social media platforms with an intention of promoting all of Summer at Sem's programs, as well as highlighting the daily events and activities around campus as they unfold.
This is a paid internship with limited on-campus housing available for non-local applicants.
Photograph the daily happenings of our concurrently-running summer programs (Creative Arts, English Language Institute, Middle School STEM, Summer Explorations, etc.)
Generate engaging, relevant, and exciting social media postings to extend our existing outreach, further establish our Summer Programs brand, and help create inquiries and registrations for future sessions
Create a surplus of content that can be scheduled throughout the year to keep Summer at Sem current and at the forefront of our demographics' newsfeeds and timelines
Create smart, captivating, and successful advertising campaigns across established social media platforms, as well as pushing into under-utilizing online territory by monitoring KPIs
Work within an established marketing budget to create a healthy ROI for the summer season
Any and all other tasks deemed necessary and appropriate by the Director of Summer Programs
Substantial background/experience in social media and marketing with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.
Experience using professional photography equipment, as well as a knowledge in graphic design
Applications are accepted from undergraduates who, as a minimum, will have completed their freshman year by the upcoming summer as well as recent college graduates. An applicant must have a strong academic record and the maturity and work ethic to succeed in a rigorous and demanding position.
Salary is based on experience and housing and meals are provided. Candidates should submit all materials as soon as possible. Regardless of the application deadline, employment offers will be made on a rolling basis.

About Wyoming Seminary/Summer at SEM
Wyoming Seminary, or more affectionately known as "Sem," is the oldest coeducational independent college preparatory school in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Wyoming Seminary is a day and boarding school with two campuses three miles apart across from the city of Wilkes-Barre. The Lower School in Forty Fort is a day school with classes from preschool (age 3) through grade eight. The Upper School in Kingston is a day/boarding community with classes from grades nine through twelve plus a postgraduate year.
