The IAB’s Vice President, Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence will be working in a pivotal and high-profile area of the IAB with responsibilities for working across the interactive media industry and its extended ecosystem of publishers, ad technology companies, agencies and brands to improve advertising revenue opportunities, share best practices, and discuss the many other issues that contribute to healthy growth for interactive media companies.
The IAB’s Vice President will identify key challenges to and opportunities for growth facing interactive advertising in the areas of mobile and cross-device advertising. The Vice President will work with industry leaders to define obstacles and implement solutions that can take the forms of research, technical standards, new ad formats, industry primers, best practices and thought leadership events.
He or she oversees member-driven meetings with IAB Committees, Task Forces, and Working Groups -- and supports the Mobile Center Board of Directors -- in order to address issues impacting the industry, and the Vice President serves in a leadership and project-management capacity to help IAB achieve its mobile-related goals. The Vice President is a key component as IAB establishes thought leadership and enables advertising growth in the multi-device world of apps and mobile websites.
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Create value through research, best practices, and advance thought leadership development.
Project management and key oversight of the Mobile Center of Excellence.
Lead with speaking/presentations and other external activities thought leadership as well as board meeting preparations and follow-up.
Communicate regularly with Mobile Center membership through a variety of channels to ensure they are aware of relevant IAB initiatives and that the IAB is listening and responsive to their needs.
Responsible for the growth of Mobile Center membership and maintaining existing relationships with member companies.
Directly manage or oversee management of IAB’s mobile-related committees, including setting agendas and running committee meetings, balancing diverse interests and views, developing short-term and long-term project plans, keeping projects on track, and implementing communications and adoption strategies.
Manage, oversee, and/or develop market-making white papers, best-practices, thought pieces, and research on timely issues facing the industry.
Execute and support Events to promote Committee & Council output and activity.
Establish standards and guidelines and identify best practices for various interactive media.
Work with other IAB departments to develop industry support and adoption for standards, guidelines and best practices.
Collaborate with IAB members and IAB staff to deliver on IAB’s mission to promote the growth of interactive advertising through advocacy and evangelism.
Supervise staff members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of senior management and the membership.
Drive proactive vision as too how IAB can sell memberships/sponsors, as well as provide the strategic insights that help members make insightful business decisions.
At least 8 years of industry experience with mobile media, marketing, and advertising and deep skills in the mobile ecosystem.
Experience with the mobile marketing and media value chain.
Experience in digital advertising, audio or media management and/or management consulting, research, or business development.
Superior project management and prioritization skills.
Strong Business Acumen and technology expertise.
Ability to deal with both the big picture and details.
Very strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity to convene and manage large group meetings.
