The Marketing Consultant will assist in the implementation of marketing strategies in support of the growth of ASGE and its courses, conferences, products and programs. The position is part of a cross-functional communications team and requires close coordination with various departments within ASGE. The Marketing Consultant is responsible for the development and production of digital marketing campaigns that involve web content development, email marketing, and social media. Responsibilities include ensuring that projects achieve the desired results and are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
Essential Job Functions
Work with cross-departmental task forces to implement marketing plans, strategies and tactics that leverage data and support the success of ASGE educational courses and conferences;
Execute tactical plans, project schedules and deadlines, working within assigned budgets and processes.
Develop external and internal advertisements and e-mail communications;
Measure and communicate ongoing campaign results
Working with Manager, Business Analytics, to develop target marketing lists for email campaigns
Conduct research that informs the positioning of ASGE courses and conferences within a competitive market
List ASGE courses and webinars on industry conference website
Bachelor’s degree (BA) in marketing, communications, business administration or related discipline;
Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills;
Experience with tools such as Google Analytics and Hubspot to analyze success and organize communications;
Social media management experience, including creating stories and content;
Develop content for website and create compelling stories through curated social media accounts;
Demonstrated success in project management, marketing implementation, market research and promotional copywriting;
Expert-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional. Experience with Web content management systems, broadcast email systems and membership/customer databases.
Keen time management and budgeting skills.
Skills: Self-starter and critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational and planning skills.
