Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a talented professional like you to develop and implement strategies, market intelligence, segment and product marketing plans, and pricing in North America. You will work in close collaboration with Sales, Controlling, Product Management, and internal downstream divisions, as well as corporate functions such as Legal and Purchasing. Additionally, you will have significant interaction with global counterparts as well.
In this role, you will ensure business on a re-investment level and guarantee long term supply to the downstream internal businesses by interacting and understanding other business units' dynamics and demand projections, while maintaining targeted sales presence into the merchant market.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Business and your professional experience in Marketing and/or Sales, you will be responsible for the marketing of Oxo-C4 Alcohols & Standard Acrylic Monomers product lines with focus on both internal downstream users and external customers to ensure long term presence.
Demonstrating your strong business and financial acumen, you will formulate and implement market and product strategies for the region that maximize financial results and complements the global strategy, including justifying investments.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will secure the necessary market and competitor intelligence by monitoring the market environment, price developments, tracking of selected related industry segments, dynamics and trends on key raw materials, technology trends and changes, competitive landscape, imports and exports balances, and overseas arbitrage monitoring.
Your experience developing product marking plans and segment marketing plans are essential as you take responsibility for the marketing interaction with the downstream users by developing formal presentations, collecting and understanding long term internal demand, exchange of market intelligence, and developing joint projects and joint market approaches for the benefit of the value chain.
Successfully engaging outside of the organization, you will maintain and foster relationships with customers, consultants & industry associations.
Your strong understanding of financial analysis will be a valued asset as you support price model development.
