In the Office of College Marketing and Communications, the Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives at the College. Reporting to the Director for Strategic Marketing, the Strategic Marketing Manager will serve as a brand manager and work in close collaboration with the entire team in the College Marketing & Communications office (CMC) to leverage marketing and communication vehicles and tools, including public relations, media relations, Holy Cross magazine, digital and social media, photography, video, and advertising. This position is highly skilled at motivating and leading others, including peers and team members who report to others. The Strategic Marketing Manager will develop and execute plans that elevate awareness of the College brand, enhance the reputation of the College and achieve strategic marketing goals critical to the success of the College. The Strategic Marketing Manager will interpret and use data analytics to help guide projects and make recommendations to the CMC team.
Major Areas of Responsibilities:
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in CMC and across campus, develop an overall strategic marketing plan.
Develop and execute new strategic marketing initiatives and projects.
Work, in a collaborative way, with a variety of team members within CMC and across campus to develop and execute initiatives.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of marketing campaigns to provide strategic recommendations.
Report on analytics and market research to inform CMC and the campus community of the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.
Continuously assess outcomes and improve processes.
Establish positive relations and interactions within CMC and across campus.
Recommend yearly budget distribution for the Marketing and Communication functions at the College.
Work effectively as a liaison between various departments/users to ensure that services, quality and costs are balanced.

Demonstrate advanced proficiency by quickly adapting to new technology and readily acquiring new technical skills.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional and personal networks.
Alter schedule when necessary to accommodate work requirements. Overnight and out-of-town travel required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably managing marketing efforts in a multifaceted organization (higher education institution a plus).
Excellent track record of leading collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent project development and management skills.
Higher education experience preferred.
Experience in interpreting and applying data analytics.
Exceptional presentation skills.
Proficient computer skills with the capability to master new software applications and technologies.
