We are a small professional society in the D.C. area focused on a fast-growing cardiology-related field with a global membership, and we are seeking a motivated, ambitious and well organized team player to join our team. The Marketing Communications Coordinator plays a key role in our mission, and we rely on you to help us increase awareness of the field and member engagement in our events and education — all with the aim of improving patient outcomes.
There is room to grow in this position, which is ideal for an early career professional (2-3 years’ experience) who is looking for an opportunity to step up and make a meaningful contribution.
The Marketing Communications Coordinator supports the execution of a marketing and communications strategy for SCCT and its events, products and services, in order to increase awareness of the organization and the field of cardiovascular CT internally and externally; promote member engagement; grow sales of products and services; and increase meeting attendance.
You will report to the Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications, and you will work across the spectrum of communications activities, including the SCCT website, media outreach, our new podcast series, social media, e-campaigns, advertising and more:
Coordinating content and helping optimize the user experience for SCCT’s website, microsites and learning management platform, tracking and sharing metrics;
Assisting with developing and distributing press releases;
Supporting the planning and execution of SCCT’s social media strategy for Twitter, Facebook and other platforms; tracking and sharing metrics;
Researching and recommending placement for advertising;
Producing content for e-campaigns and other digital and print promotional material;
Coordinating/supporting the development of video content;
Coordinating/supporting the development and production of podcast series.

Skilled with full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), handling audio and video files, content management systems, databases, e-campaign platforms, online forms and surveys
