You: a researcher experienced in surveys, transactional metrics (sales, viewership data, digital traffic, etc.), maybe social media sentiment analysis as well.
The Sr. Analyst will report directly into the department VP while managing, analyzing, and reporting results of research studies exploring the viewer relationship with programming from Viacom’s brand portfolio, including Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, BET and Paramount Network.
Working with the VP and Sr. Manager to develop questionnaire outlines for large surveys based on study key goals and business use cases
Drafting small ad-hoc surveys with minimal supervision
Connecting with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure proper inclusion of key study elements in all questionnaires
Testing drafted surveys to ensure proper logic and functioning
Developing custom presentations, including basic data analysis, with support of the Sr. Manager and VP
Creating PowerPoint presentations following pre-designed structures using data supplied by the data science team
Creating custom-designed data tables from surveys, Nielsen ratings, and other data sources
Proofreading presentations for clarity and accuracy
3+ years of professional experience in custom survey research, ideally in a media/entertainment industry environment or on behalf of media/entertainment clients
Experience with Powerpoint and Excel, including using pivot tables
Superior attention to detail
An interest in television and other forms of video entertainment
Experience using tools such as SPSS, Python, R, etc. a plus
