Under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Marketing Writer (Professional Services Specialist IV) is responsible for writing promotional copy for brochures, advertising and other marketing materials produced by University Relations; is responsible for performing basic professional functions using established policies, procedures and guidelines; and does related work as required. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience working in communications is required, including writing promotional copy. A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience with marketing and communications is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills are essential.
