Rider University accepts applications for Executive Director of Marketing who will execute an integrated marketing strategy across the enterprise to elevate and enhance Rider's brand, reputation and awareness. The Executive Director will plan, direct and coordinate marketing research, advertising, digital and related marketing initiatives both for the university, as well as its affiliated colleges and programs. He or she will have an innate ability to communicate a differentiated strategy to various audiences, and define quantifiable outcomes related to strategic goals.
The Executive Director of Marketing will also:
●Develop and implement paid digital and social strategies to effectively market programs, activities and build brand awareness. ●Lead marketing efforts for undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as coordinate outreach, development and recruitment initiatives. ●Select and manage external vendors and firms related to marketing activities. ●Create branding and messaging strategies for colleges and programs through targeted research in compliance with Rider's overarching strategies. ●Implement annual plans for strategic marketing and digital initiatives and will oversee analysis of performance metrics and ROI criteria. ●Establish consistent brand messaging for use across multiple platforms.
The Executive Director of Marketing reports to the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications within the Enrollment Management Division. The Director of Digital Strategy reports directly to the Executive Director of Marketing.
Qualified candidate must possess a BS/BA in Marketing or related field with 10+ years of progressive experience. Additional qualifications include: strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects from inception through execution; customer-service orientation; attention to detail, and creativity in problem solving; the ability to build brand awareness and support from internal audiences; strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and online marketing strategies; experience leveraging social media as a marketing strategy; strong understanding of higher education environment; proven success in traditional and innovative campaigns across a broad spectrum of marketing channels; thorough knowledge of marketing principles as it relates to brand reputation and awareness; and the ability to understand changing market dynamics, translating them into actionable strategies to achieve university objectives. An advanced degree and higher education experience preferred.
