The Spring Internship Program will be an unpaid internship, available for college credit. It will be a 20-week program, starting on January 13, 2014 and concluding on May 16, 2014. Spring Interns will be asked to work 20 hours/week and will be compensated with a lunch stipend and Metrocard reimbursement.
The Advertising Research Foundation is an open forum where the best and the brightest from every avenue of advertising can gather to exchange ideas and research strategies. Together, we challenge conventional maxims, take on the latest issues, and discover new insights to benefit us all. This collaboration yields something invaluable: knowledge. Knowledge that is meaningful, actionable, and indispensable. Knowledge that empowers our members to have a true impact on their marketing programs and their organizations. Knowledge that changes perspective and changes the game. Since 1936, our goal has been to lead our industry forward. As an open-minded, unbiased environment, free of partisan interests, the ARF facilitates a smarter, stronger, and more effective community.
ARF Spring Interns are given a unique opportunity to work very closely with senior staff; something that is not possible in many organizations. Interns are really able to hone their project management and organizational skills through a wide variety of tasks.
The ARF is host to many events and interns are often able to attend meetings and events. Our events are packed with industry leaders, thus creating an excellent networking opportunity for our interns.
ARF staff will provide overviews of their areas and explain the role and context of student assignments. Questions and discussion will be encouraged.
Communication & Creative Studio
The ARF Communication & Creative Studio (CCS) is responsible for developing and executing strategies and materials that promote the ARF brand (website, member benefits and industry contribution). It also works closely nwith our Events and Program teams to drive attendance to key events (Annual Conferences, Industry Leader Forums), and educate members on various ARF resources including Knowledge Solutions resources, Forums, Webcasts and our research services.
The Marketing & Communications intern in the CCS team will gain a broader sense of the scope and needs of marketing, social media and collateral within an organization. The intern will help execute marketing strategies, evaluate the effectiveness of existing efforts, and work with the entire ARF staff to contribute to website stories. The intern will work on the Industry Leader Forum, Re:think 2014, contribute to the ARF website, and will have the opportunity to attend and work on-site at events.
