Job Description

The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) is an open forum where the best and the brightest from every avenue of advertising can gather to exchange ideas and research strategies. Our membership includes advertisers, advertising agencies, media companies, market researchers, and academics.

Founded in 1936 by the Association of National Advertisers and the American Association of Advertising Agencies, the ARF leads key industry learning initiatives that increase the contribution of research to better marketing, more effective advertising and profitable organic growth.

Our mission is to improve the practice of advertising, marketing and media research in pursuit of more effective marketing and advertising communications.

 

The Membership Coordinator provides administrative support to the Membership team by assisting with the development of member retention initiatives and events.  The Membership Coordinator works with the Membership team to ensure that all processes are coordinated and running smoothly.  The Coordinator also manages small member accounts and outreach. 


Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update membership database and develop monthly membership reports
  • Compile membership packets and work with the Membership Managers to identify and develop retention collateral materials (including membership directory).
  • Assist with member events including registration set-up and support.
  • Assist Membership team in coordination of all Member meetings.
  • Responsible for transcribing membership committee meeting notes, sending follow-up communications.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining member participation and engagement statistics by creating reports and spreadsheets that clearly illustrate member involvement at the ARF.
  • Assist team in development of new member programs and events that engage and retain existing members.
  • Provide excellent customer service for ARF Members.
  • Coordinate event logistics, proactively thinking through all pieces of an event and taking first pass at presenting team lead with best recommended action plan for facilitating a seamless event.
  • Consistently meet project deadlines as set by team lead.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent Academic Credentials; BA, BS minimum
  • One to two (1-2) years relevant office/administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently
  • Experience with membership organizations and/or community outreach preferred
  • Marketing/Communication knowledge or background preferred
  • Self-motivated, energetic learner with a good sense of humor
  • Comfortable with working in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent general administrative skills - ability to create schedules and timelines
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Internet Proficiency; iMIS database experience a plus
