The National Renderers Association seeks a Director of Communications to manage the organization’s expanding communications and marketing program. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership, and implementation of strategic communications, sustainability branding, and media relations across print, electronic, and multichannel platforms. This new role will position the industry as a sustainability leader by building awareness among the public and members. Responsibilities also include developing relationships with key external partners, crisis communications and public speaking. The Communications Director will be responsible for outreach of our research foundation. This position reports to the president and CEO.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressively responsible communications experience, preferably with a corporation or trade association in food or agriculture. A BA degree in journalism, communications or related field is required. Must have strong project development and management skills, excellent attention to detail, and like working in a small office team environment. Occasional travel. Non-profit/trade association experience preferred.
