The Marketing Associate will provide assistance for marketing-related actions and will have dual reporting responsibilities to the University Development and UNC Medicine Marketing teams. This position will be responsible for the deployment of campaign-related marketing activities, both internal and external. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: content development, program promotion, branding, and communication strategy as they relate to marketing campaigns.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
-Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and evaluate marketing, brand strategies and programs. -Must have marketing and communications experience paired with excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and information, identify opportunities, draw sound conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations to guide marketing planning, activities and deliverables, as well as organizational decision-making. -Demonstrated knowledge of content creation, production and marketing planning is critical. -A high level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications (or related field of study) preferred. 1-3 years of experience in a non-profit or higher education setting preferred.
