The Director of Marketing Research and Analytics will report directly to the Associate VP, Marketing and have a dotted line to the Chief Marketing Officer for Indiana University. The Director will provide strategic leadership, customized market research, web/digital analytics, generate critical insights and drive marketing effectiveness for Indiana University branding efforts.
The Director will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of multiple quantitative and qualitative market research studies from start to finish. In addition to developing and executing disciplined approaches to market research, the director will also synthesize output and communicate results in a clear, unbiased way.
The Director will liaise on a regular basis with all key central marketing leaders, the IU Communications internal agency, external vendors, and internal university clients (i.e., schools, units, regional campuses, and enrollment management colleagues). The position will build relationships with clients, interact with clients on an ongoing basis to ensure assigned projects are progressing as per schedule, and identify business development opportunities.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Market Research, Data Science, Statistics, or related field and five years of relevant market research and data analytics experience. Extensive experience with a variety of quantitative market research methodologies. Operational experience with qualitative market research projects. Extensive experience with a variety of digital, social and web analytics. Experience and comfort in researching both traditional (i.e., print, TV) and non-traditional (i.e., digital, mobile) creative and media platforms and assessing ROI.
Understanding of basic statistical analyses

Advanced degree; tens years of experience or more; higher education and/or Consumer Goods experience.
