The Marketing Coordinator will assist with the planning, development, and implementation of special projects and events, such as marketing activities and brand experiences, to promote the university on a regional, state, local and national level. Working with internal and external parties, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating projects, overseeing social media accounts, and producing communication and marketing briefs for the Brand Development unit.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years' experience in marketing, communications, or other related field.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Proficiency in running social media accounts and platform management software.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
Plans and implements marketing program events such as conferences, marketing activities, brand experiences, meetings, and workshops.
Develops and updates communication briefs and marketing plans based on project specifics, and provides program recaps and summaries with program statistics and data at the conclusion of activations.
Coordinates marketing communications, including digital assets to be used on web and social media.
Serves as a liaison between multiple units within the Division of Marketing and Communications for content and creative development, visual media, and web.
Assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for marketing programs and brand engagement events.
Responds to inquiries regarding brand experience.
Maintains program records and databases.
Assists in identifying funding opportunities and working with partners for collaboration of events. Performs other duties as assigned.
