The primary business of JEOL USA is the sales of new instruments and peripherals and support of scientific instruments throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America.
In this newly created position you will generate market awareness and market share growth by planning and implementing marketing strategies and product promotion programs, both long and short range, targeting existing and new markets for JEOL’s MS, NMR and ESR product lines.
Specific duties include:
Develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns designed to generate sales leads for MS, NMR and ESR products
Plan trade show activity and represents the Company at conferences, symposiums and tradeshows
Evaluate market research to recommend adjustments to marketing strategy
Establish relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Meets with key clients, assists sales representatives in maintaining relationships and cultivating strategic partnerships
Monitors competitor’s products, sales and marketing activities
Oversees the creation of print, email, website, and social media content.
Proposes and manages the Marketing budget for the assigned product lines
Generates press releases and interface with PR firms
Designs and conduct surveys, and analyzes and assists in the interpretation of market research data
Use CRM marketing tools to develop content and campaigns.
Guides and advise sales and applications staff to ensure alignment between sales tactics and product marketing strategies.
The position requires a professional level of knowledge in Business, Marketing, and Science typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of three years’ experience marketing analytical instrumentation to scientists and engineers.
An in-depth knowledge of the application and operation of MS, NMR, and ESR instrumentation.
Direct experience in the marketing and promotion to academia, government, and industry is desired.
A valid driver's license and passport are required
Frequent overnight travel to tradeshows and customer sites is required.
A background in sales and marketing is desirable.
Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese or Japanese language skills are a plus.
